I just recently went to see The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie. Can I just say, it was a fantastic film. It felt so wonderful to be back in the universe of wizards and magic. I like that the movie is kind of another Harry Potter movie, but at the same time, it’s a movie on its own. It didn’t feel like I was watching another Harry Potter movie. It felt like I was watching Fantastic Beasts. Not sure if I’m making sense… haha
I love how much this movie ties into the Harry Potter world. We learn things in this movie that can connect to both Dumbledore’s sister as well as Aragog, Hagrid’s spider friend. I thought that was pretty neat. It was almost like it was answering questions about what happened to Dumbledore’s sister as well as where Aragog even came from.
Eddie was a great actor. He was cute and awkward and adorable. He was the perfect actor to play Newt. All the actors were fantastic. They made the movie hilarious. I just don’t like what the American wizards call muggles. I don’t even remember the name, but it was super name and cheesy. I definitely enjoy the Harry Potter world better as oppose to this, but this movie was still fantastic and magical. I still can’t wrap my thoughts all up, but I did love the movie!
If you haven’t seen this movie, I highly recommend. Go see it in IMAX with some butter beer. It’ll be worth it.
Oh my gosh, I totally agree! It tied in pretty well with HP movies, but it wasn’t too blatant or anything you know? Like those subtle connections just made me FANGIRL INSIDE!
AND I TOTALLY AGREE – No-Maj? COME ON. There has to be a better word for it! Like…Muggle. MUGGLE IS A PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE TERM. -cries inside-

It’s just so obvious – it’s not even subtle or anything 😦 And for me, it doesn’t roll of the tongue easily
