I’ve acquired too many books…

Hello friends!

It’s been a long time! A very long time. I am so sorry for my absence. I don’t have a great excuse. All I can say is that July was a very, very rough month for me. on June 25th, I fell down the stairs at my house and really bruised my tailbone. I could barely sit for a month straight. I was in too much pain to sit by my computer so I just lied in bed and watched tv all the time.

I also hated my new job so much that I was constantly depressed. So depressed that I talked my old supervisor into letting me get my old job back so that took a little time and stressed me out too much…

Once my tailbone started to feel better, I got sick! so i was sick for a few days and again, lied in bed all the time… then once I was felling better, I went to Canada!!!! 

So I haven’t been in the mood to read at all in July. I wasn’t in a book mood for anything. However, I ended up buying books off booktoutlet then I bought MORE books in Canada because I went to meet a booktuber whom I’ve been friends with for several years. (Nat at PickleHeartsBooks via youtube)… I mean, who goes to the bookstore with a book nerd and doesn’t buy books?? Absurd right? Any-who, here are a few books I got! 😀

I honestly don’t quite know what all these books are about but I wanted more cute summer reads so I got some! I’m so excited to read more books from Jennifer E. Smith. I keep buying her books but I need to start actually reading them…

I was SO FREAKING EXCITED when I saw that bookoutlet had My Lady Jane in HARDCOVER. I’ve been wanting this book since I learned Cynthia Hand was writing a new book because I loved her Unearthly trilogy. I’m so excited to finally read this! AH! I also got Outrun the Moon and the Thousandth Floor because I’ve heard great things about both. Plus those covers are glorious. Rise of the Arcane Fire is the second book to a trilogy that I really enjoyed. I don’t know how to explain in though…

A Quiet Kind of Thunder

I’m so excited to finally have Oblivion. I loved Nevermore a few years ago. It was fantastic. Highly recommend it if you love Edgar Allen Poe! I’m also excited for Jellicoe Road. I don’t know why but I’ve been wanting this book since before I started booktube. There’s something about it that makes me want to read it… I think my all time favorite purchase is A Quiet Kind of Thunder. I’ve been wanting to read this book ever since it came out but it’s not sold in the USA. I was so excited to find it in Canada!

Daughter of the Burning City had too gorgeous of a cover for me to not buy it. JUST LOOK AT IT! I bought Eliza and Her Monsters because Nat said it was a great book. Plus I love the cover and it sounds interesting! I’m also excited for the next two books. Especially the Art of Starving. It’s about a boy with an eating disorder!


I also got all these gorgeous Harry Potter books because I have an obsession…
