Does anyone remember when Friday Reads was a big thing on twitter and then moved to Youtube when we were able to do video responses? I feel like Friday Reads has died down quite a bit in the last several years so I figured I’d make one! Here’s what I’ve been reading the last week or so….

The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa is the 3rd book in the Iron Fey Saga. This is a reread for me. I was in the mood to reread the whole series, which I’m so glad I did because it helped me out of a reading slump! The characters are spectacular and hilarious. I love every single one. If you want a magical book, I highly recommend checking these books out!

The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black is a little bit of a let down for me. I don’t know if I’m not in the mood to read it or if it’s not my cup of tea. I mean, it’s good but it’s not great, in my opinion. I’m not sold on the characters. I think they’re kind of bland. However, I think the writing is gorgeous but the layout of the paragraphs and the story just seems choppy.
