A Man Called Ove

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

I’m currently listening to this story on audiobook. The narrator is great. I’m not far into this book at all but it’s absolutely adorable. The book was originally published in Sweden. Ove is known as the “grumpy neighbor”; however, the more you read the book, the more you realize there is way more to Ove than what meets the eye. I’m so excited to continue listening to this! After I finish it, I’m hoping to go back and watch the movie (again) so I have a better understanding as to what’s happening. I think the movie is in Swedish.

An Absolutely Remarkable Thing

An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green

This has Hank Green written all over it. The way he tells the story sounds exactly like Hank Green. I’m not super sold on the characters yet, but I like the writing a lot. I’m kind of surprised the characters aren’t making me put this down. Good characters is my go to but I just, ugh, I love the writing style. The story also is super unique and interesting. 🙂

Have you read either of these? What do you think? Did you like them? Hate them? Did you write a review? Let me know 😀
