HAPPY, HAPPY MAY EVERYONE! May the future be in your favor! May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. I wanted to celebrate the month by reading a few books by Asian authors. I’m not sure what authors are considered Pacific American so if you know of someone, please recommend them below! ❤ Without further-ado, here are a few books I plan on reading for the month of May.
The Poppy War by K.F Kuang \\
I’m currently reading this book now. I’m only on chapter 2 as I write this. I wasn’t a huge fan of the first chapter. I’m hoping I can get more into as the story progresses. I think right now it’s just because the process of world building is happening. I’m excited to see where the story goes though!
Jady City by Fonda Lee \\
I’ve heard such great things about this book. It’s an adult fantasy with some magic I believe. I have never been a huge adult fantasy reader but the older I get the more I want to experiment with different genres. I’m not really sure what this book is about but I know there is magic. I love me so magic. :3
Outrun the Moon by Stacey Lee \\
This is a historical novel. I honestly have no idea what this book is about. I just remember years ago Jamie at The Perpetual Page Turner raved about this book. I have liked so many books Jamie has read and reviewed so I’m excited to dive into this one. My only concern is that I currently have no idea where this book is. I have the physical copy some place but it’s one of the many boxes in my room after I moved back home. I’ll just have to do a little digging.
Have you read any of these? Do you have any other recommendations? Let me know down below. Happy reading my fellow readers!
