Hello!

I’m hoping to read several books this month! I’m really excited. I’m currently reading 3 at the moment! I’m hoping this is another good reading month for me. I haven’t been in this huge of a reading mood in ages! Here are the books I plan of reading this month! ❤

The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart & The Girl with Dragon Heart by Stephanie Burgis

Aventurine is the fiercest, bravest dragon there is. And she’s ready to prove it to her family by leaving the safety of their mountain cave and capturing the most dangerous prey of all: a human. But when the human she finds tricks her into drinking enchanted hot chocolate, Aventurine is transformed into a puny human girl with tiny blunt teeth, no fire, and not one single claw.

But she’s still the fiercest creature in the mountains — and now she’s found her true passion: chocolate! All she has to do is get herself an apprenticeship (whatever that is) in a chocolate house (which sounds delicious), and she’ll be conquering new territory in no time…won’t she?

Both of these are middle grade books! I’m currently reading the first book, The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart. It’s super cheesy. It’s a really fun read! I can see a lot of younger kids enjoying this. 🙂

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed.

Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil’s name. Some cops and the local drug lord try to intimidate Starr and her family. What everyone wants to know is: what really went down that night? And the only person alive who can answer that is Starr.

But what Starr does—or does not—say could upend her community. It could also endanger her life.

Honestly, I’m scared to read this. I’m listening to it on audiobook. I’m only on chapter 1 so I’m not really far into it. I think I put off reading this for way too long. With everything going on in the world right now, I’m constantly trying to educate myself.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix but J.K Rowling

I’ve been listening to the Harry Potter books on audiobook for the last few months. It’s honestly a pretty magical experience. I’m in love. It’s also so nice to be back in the world of Harry Potter ❤

Super Max and the Mystery of Thornwood’s Revenge by Susan Vaught

It’s going to take more than a knack for electronics and a supercharged wheelchair for twelve-year-old Max to investigate a haunted mansion.

Max has always been a whiz with electronics (just take a look at her turbo-charged wheelchair). But when a hacker starts a slanderous Facebook page for her grandpa, Max isn’t sure she has the skills to take him down. The messages grow increasingly sinister, and Max fears that this is more than just a bad joke. Here’s the thing: Max has grown up in the shadow of Thornwood Manor, an abandoned mansion that is rumored to be haunted by its original owner, Hargrove Thornwood. It is said that his ghost may be biding his time until he can exact revenge on the town of Blue Creek. Why? Well, it’s complicated. To call him a jerk would be an understatement. When the hacking escalates, suddenly it looks to Max like this could really be Thornwood’s Revenge. If it is, these messages are just the beginning—and the town could be in danger.

I cannot tell you have excited I am to read this! The MC is in a wheelchair! This is also a middle grade novel. I think it’s so amazing that this book features a person with a disability that helps discover a mystery. I think these are so, so important. I really hope I love it ❤

Tarnished are the Stars by Rosiee Thor

Straight up excited to read this! The photo does not do the cover justice. It’s so gorgeous in person. I think this just sounds like a fun book to read. Not 100% sure if I’ll get around to reading it this month but it will be neat if I do 🙂

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

Hope warms the coldest night.

This is one of my favorite trilogies in the whole wide world. I don’t really know why I still have yet to read this. I’m excited to do it soon though! I cannot wait to be back with all of my favorite characters ❤
