First and Last: A book/series you’ve read and enjoyed, but can’t bring yourself to read again
I absolutely loved this book. I can’t see myself reading it again because of how deep and dark it was. I cried a lot. It’s just one of those books that is so profound and heartbreaking that it’s hard to experience that pain again. I might end up reading it again some day. I’m scared I won’t like it as much. It’s a book where you need to be in the right mind set to read it. It takes place during Stalin. The pain these characters endure is UGH. I can’t even.
With a friend of my friend: A book/series someone recommended to you that turned out to be different from what you had expected.
In all honestly, I’m not sure what I expected from this book. I wasn’t a huge fan of fantasy at the time so I was terrified to read this. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a lot more darker than I was anticipating, but that’s not a bad thing! I think the one thing I did not expect was how in depth these characters were. I don’t remember much because I read this awhile ago but I do remember those characters ❤
Double date: A book whose sequel you immediately had to read
This… was a hard one to answer. I don’t really read series/trilogies back to back. I decided to go with the Tiger’s Curse sequel. This is one of my favorite series. I remember obsessing over the first book and loving it so much that I needed to get my hands on the next book! I’m not sure how long it took me but I finally read it 😀 If you really love mythology, I really recommend these! The first takes a long while to get into but it’s worth it.
Let’s go to the movies: A book/series that should be adapted to the screen
This book was amazing. I think it is so powerful. I think it would inspire a lot of people if it were made into a movie. It’s about a girl who loves to run but ends up losing her leg in an accident. She befriends a girl with cerebral palsy. It’s so good. It’s such an important story to show we should not judge others for their limitations. It also shows that we can do anything we set our mind to as long as we believe
Dreamy stargazing: A book that made you go ahhhh and ohhhh
This book was everything. This is by far my favorite. There was so much that happened! I found myself getting angry and happy and sad all in the same chapter. I would say that qualifies as “oohs” and “ahhs” right? XD Well that is what i’m going with!
Six. Fun at the fair: A book full of colours
I’m not…. I’m not really sure what this question is asking, LOL. So I guess I’m going with Queens of Geek because 1. the color is a bright pink and 2. the book takes place during a com! There is a lot of cosplay and such with reminds me of fun colors. People dress up as all kinds of characters and that makes me happy. So I guess this is the one XD
Amusement park adventure: A book that was a rollercoaster
This is one of my all time favorite books. I can’t explain it. It’s about a brother and sister that fall in love. There is so much more to the story than that though. It was the one of the first books to make me realize that everyone has a story, they just don’t always tell it. One of the main characters has anxiety and that took me on a crazy rollercoaster because I understood him. I’m not sure if that makes sense. Any-who, this book was amazing.
Picnic with cherries: A book whose food descriptions made you feel all *heart eyes*
I really don’t know why this book gives me all of the heart eyes. It’s really not that great of a book but Wesley is something else, I tell ya. There is just something about him that I freaking love! He’s silly and not the jackass everyone seems to think he is. He has such a soft heart. ugh. I LOVE HIM SO FREAKING MUCH!
Trip to the museum: A book that taught you valuable stuff
Wonder is such a beautiful book. Even though this is a middle grade story, I feel like all ages can be taught something valuable. It’s a book I’m going to tell my kids about one day because it’s amazing. It will help me teach my kids not to judge a book by it’s cover. Sometimes the pretty covers the ones that let you down the most.
