Okay, so I know it’s Winter and not Fall but…. If I could live in a place where it was always fall, I’d move there in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Jenna @ Bookmark Your ThoughtsBooks for tagging me to do the Finally Fall Book Tag! Make sure to visit her blog since it’s pretty fantastic! I also apologize it’s taken me a freaking year to do this!
The original tag (I believe) has been taken down from YouTube.

In fall, the air is crisp and clear // Name a book with a vivid setting.

Uprooted by Naomi Novik
This felt like being thrown into a fairy tale. I absolutely loved being in the story. It just felt like I was watching a movie while I was reading.
Nature is beautiful … but also dying // Name a book that is beautifully written but also deals with a heavy topic like loss or grief.

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys
I don’t think I’ve cried so much while reading a book. I was never a huge fan of historical fiction but decided to give this a go back in 2016. It broke me but it was so so good. The grief in this book is heartbreaking but the way it’s written is like poetry.
Fall is back to school season // Share a non-fiction book that taught you something new.

This Star Won’t Go Out: The Life and Words of Esther Grace Earl by Esther Earl, Lori Earl, Wayne Earl, John Green
I’m not much of a non-fiction person but this book was so good. It really taught me to be present in the moment and treat every moment like it’s your last. It taught me to love fiercely and never be afraid to show how much I love everyone.
In order to keep warm, it’s good to spend some time with the people we love // Name a fictional family/household/friend group that you’d like to be part of.

Harry Potter by J.K Rowling
Okay, sure, I’m not very original and I don’t much agree with J.K Rowlnig on anything; However, all of the characters in this story are fantastic. They all feel like my friends. I would love be apart of the friendships and be apart of the Weasley family ❤
The colourful leaves are piling up on the ground // Show us a pile of fall coloured spines!
I’m currently at work and don’t have access to anything. However, I pick reds and oranges, and yellows for fall colored book spines 🙂
Fall is the perfect time for some storytelling by the fireside // Share a book wherein someone is telling a story.

Snowflakes at the Little Christmas Tree Farm by Jaimie Admans
Not sure if this sounds but the author is doing a pretty bomb job at telling the story from the characters POV!
The nights are getting darker // Share a dark, creepy read.

The Diviners by Libba Bray
This book scared the crap out of me! I listened to it on audiobook. I straight up had nightmares at night when I would listen to it before bed. I sometimes had to pause the book so I could listen to something cute and fluffy XD
The days are getting colder // Name a short, heartwarming read that could warm up somebody’s cold and rainy day.

The Happy Home for Ladies by Lilly Bartlett
This was such a precious story. It was super cute. It’s especially about this nursing home for ladies. It was fun and it sure made me feel all heart warmed, hehe
Fall returns every year // Name an old favourite that you’d like to return to soon.

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
I love this book beyond words. It is so precious and heartwarming and sweet and precious. I listened to this on audiobook twice. I had my fiancé buy it for me for Christmas that same year. I also bought the audiobook on ebay because they changed the narrator to someone else who wasn’t as good in my opinion. I can’t get over how much I l
Fall is the perfect time for cozy reading nights // Share your favourite cozy reading “accessories”!
I love blankets and a cup of something warm weather that be coffee, tea, or hot coca 🙂
