Down The TBR Hole #11

word

“Down the TBR Hole” is a meme created by Lia (@ Lost in a Story).

Most of you probably know this feeling: Your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing, and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about or why you added them. Well that’s going to change!

It works like this:

  • Go to your Goodreads “Want to Read” shelf.
  • Order by ascending date added.
  • Take the first five (or ten, if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books.
  • Decide: Should it stay or should it go?

BOOKKEEP OR REMOVE?
My Dark VanessaKEEP: This book sounds so good and I’ve heard anything things about it!
Sin EaterRemove: This sounds really good but I don’t see myself ever reading it, sadly. 😦
All Our Wrong TodaysRemove: Again, I can’t see myself reading this. I’m not sure why I added it. It doesn’t sound like something I’d enjoy.
This Is How You Lose the Time WarRemove: This has been on my TBR for ages but I just don’t ever see myself reading it. Maybe one day but not anytime soon.
The BindingKeep: This one sounds really good. I think I’m going to keep it for now. The premise sounds so interesting!
Love Her or Lose Her (Hot & Hammered, #2)Remove: So, this is book #2 for Fix Her Up (see below). I don’t know if I like that book yet so I’m just going to ditch the 2nd one until I check out the first.
Fix Her Up (Hot & Hammered, #1)Keep: This has also been on my TBR for a bit. It sounds super good. I love me some cheesy romance! ❤
The DeepRemove: This book has horrible ratings. I don’t like to judge a book based off the ratings but when it has an almost average rating of 2 stars on goodreads, I think I need to say goodbye.
The Poet XKeep: I WANT TO READ THIS ONE SO, SO, SOOOO BAD! I love books with poetry. I hope I love it!
The City We Became (Great Cities #1)Keep: I considered removing this but it sounds good so what the heck. Maybe one day I’ll give it a go! 😀

The statistics

Let go of: 5
Decided to keep: 5
Amount of books on my TBR before I let books go: 239
Amount of books on my TBR after letting some go: 234
